History
In 1992, when the former 探花直播 Polytechnic was first granted University status,聽was installed as the University鈥檚 first Chancellor, serving a year in this role. In the years that followed, each incumbent Lord Mayor served as Chancellor until 2016 when聽Sir Lenny Henry CBE聽was installed in this role. Sir Lenny served until 2024 when聽Ade Adepitan took up the role. Continuing to reflect the University鈥檚 commitment to the City of 探花直播, each Lord Mayor now serves as Pro-Chancellor of the University during their term of office.听
