8:30 AM听- The alarm clock blares, but hitting snooze is always so tempting. With听a sigh, I drag myself out of bed, knowing I听need to听check the train schedule. I听蹿颈驳耻谤别诲听滨鈥檇听leave for an earlier train than听滨鈥檇听initially planned in case听there were any听further delays, so I headed for the station at听9:10 am, after saying a quick goodbye to the dog听of听肠辞耻谤蝉别. Once听I get ready to听leave听I head out the door, waving goodbye.听
11:00 AM听- Today听we听have an International animation speakers event. Two听key people from the industry are coming to speak to our class听these people听have worked at Sony Animation, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, Illumination and more.听The听first talk is led by Adam Cootes, a director at Annapurna.听听贬别听dives deep into the world of storyboarding, and听it's听蹿补蝉肠颈苍补迟颈苍驳! Who听knew that such small changes in a storyboard could completely alter the story? Adam听shows us听various听examples and explains how using different techniques can elevate your storyboards. A听big part of his focus is on body language and the positioning of characters within a scene. He听explains how these elements can relay听much听information about a character and their relationship with others. He听even shows us how the same scene, with the same images, can be manipulated to change the narrative and focus of the audience completely. Overall,听Adam's听presentation is engaging and informative. I听feel like听I've听learned so much about how seemingly minor changes within a storyboard can completely change the direction of a scene.听听I'm听excited to be able to utilise these techniques in my work.

12:15 PM听- After the fascinating talk on storyboarding, my stomach starts to rumble. Luckily, I brought some snacks and headed to the cafeteria with听some听蹿谤颈别苍诲蝉. A听break is always听a good听chance to relax and socialise before diving back into a full day of events.
13:30 PM听- The break is over, and James Williams takes the stage. He听dives into the world of animation layout, using Spider-Verse as his example. We听see how 2D storyboards evolve into 3D听scenes,听and the challenges this creates (think character placement and camera angles). James听shows how the layout team tackles these challenges, crafting听effective听compositions that guide the听viewer's听别测别.听It's听inspiring to see the different departments work together. James听even highlights instances where the layout team听takes the lead, creating scenes before the storyboards听are finalised. By听the end, my head is full of knowledge听and听I'm听excited to put it to use!
15:00 PM听-听Both听Adam and James, the speaker for the second talk,听have听shared a wealth of knowledge and experience.听听I听feel incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to learn from them. Once听finished, I pack up my things and head back to the station.
17:00 PM听- Once I arrive back home, after a quick hello to my mom, I head to the kitchen and grab a snack.听听I听start to听crave some fresh air听so听I听decide to听take my furry friend to a nearby park.听The听trees are budding, and听there's听a joyful chirpiness in the air.听听We听keep an eye out for any ducklings that may have recently arrived,听making sure to bring听some seed along to share. My听dog is happy to听be exploring听the park, sniffing every听interesting听scent and chasing after squirrels.听The听walk is a great way to de-stress after a busy day and enjoy听some听quality time with family and听our听furry friends.
19:00 PM听- Back home after the walk, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle听some听more schoolwork. I听set up my laptop at the kitchen table and听got down听to business.听听There's听a lot听to process from听today's听talks, and I want to听make sure听I capture all the听important听information.听听The听hours melt away as I delve into my notes, occasionally taking breaks for dinner and checking in with friends online.
9:00 PM -听Finally听I get in bed and begin to nod off into a beautiful听time of sleep听excited听about the possibilities of adventure along my way.听
