Dr Deniz Yoruk
Dr Deniz E. Yoruk is a Research Fellow in Centre for Enterprise, Innovation and Growth (CEIG). Prior to joining 探花直播 City听University, she worked as teaching fellow in International Business and Economics at Aston Business School.
She holds a PhD in Innovation Management and Science and Technology Policy from SPRU - Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Having previously worked in various research projects funded by the European Union, ESRC and British Academy in Staffordshire University, the University of Sussex, University College London, and the University of Edinburgh, she has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
Her research covers a diverse range of industries and informs science, technology and industrial policies for local, regional and national economic development. Her research in CEIG focuses specifically on SME development and growth in the West Midlands.

Research
Currently, Deniz is working in the Promoting Sustainable Performance (PSP) project. Her research broadly focuses on SME development and growth in the West Midlands with subsequent policy development for the region. Her research interests in this area also cover digitalisation and innovation in SMEs, entrepreneurship and SME internationalisation.
Deniz has recently got BLSS Start-Up Grant for her research project entitled 鈥楽urviving Covid 鈥揟ransforming SME Growth鈥 as principal investigator.
