Bass trombonist聽Dan聽West聽has established himself as a busy & versatile musician since moving to London in 2005.聽Dan聽performs & is often recorded with London鈥檚 top orchestras, has played on major Hollywood soundtracks, and from 2015 until 2020 was trombonist in the聽West聽End production of Andrew Lloyd Webber鈥檚聽Phantom of the Opera.聽As a member of the London-based chamber ensemble聽Septura,聽Dan聽has been recorded for each of their critically acclaimed聽Music for Brass Septet聽albums for聽Naxos聽& has toured with the group internationally to places as far-reaching as New Zealand & Japan.聽Dan聽can frequently be found performing with聽South London-based brass band聽Old Dirty Brasstards,聽whose unique brass arrangements of the world鈥檚 biggest pop hits have entertained thousands of people at major festivals such as聽Glastonbury聽& in huge venues around the UK. Raised in Canada,聽Dan moved to the United States to receive his Bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of North Texas before moving to the UK to earn a Post Graduate Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Bob Hughes. As a Conn-Selmer performing artist聽Dan聽performs exclusively on Conn bass trombones. 聽
