Hear from Head of Development at Royal 探花直播 Conservatoire (RBC) Terry Gibson, who joined 探花直播 in June, and is excited to work for a world-class Conservatoire and connect philanthropists with students.
I am based鈥� at RBC, on City Centre Campus.
I joined BCU because鈥� I鈥檓 excited to work for a world-class Conservatoire and connect philanthropists with incredible students.
My role involves鈥� charity fundraising, so I鈥檒l be working with charitable trusts, and corporate and individual philanthropists to encourage charitable donations that support students.
I bring to BCU鈥� I鈥檓 a skilled relationship manager, working with existing and prospective donors to match their passions to the needs of the organisation. I have a track record of sizeable annual philanthropy, working with donors to contribute 拢1 or 拢1 million.
I鈥檝e got strong written skills, which helps with charitable trust applications, and I鈥檓 a highly experienced event organiser, having planned and delivered corporate, supporter and hospitality events on a variety of scales in locations including the House of Lords and the Coliseum Theatre.
Prior to BCU, I鈥� was a charity fundraiser at the University of Wolverhampton. This led to me being Head of Alumni and Development, overseeing the Alumni, Events and Fundraising Teams in supporting a variety of projects across the University. Prior to this, I was Individual Giving Manager at 探花直播 Royal Ballet, where I fundraised for pointe shoes, tutus, dancer welfare and the creation of new work.
A random fact about myself is鈥� I鈥檓 a huge comic book nerd, with more than 1,000 comics in boxes all over my house.
