Innovation Fest at ̽»¨Ö±²¥ offers a multidisciplinary, team-based experience to first-year students in computing, engineering, and the built environment. With a focus on real-world issues related to STEAM and the Sustainable Development Goals, students develop problem-solving skills, social responsibility, and commitment to viable solutions.

Through collaboration, students gain experience in project management and communication, while expressing their creativity and preparing for future careers in leadership roles.ÌýWe are proud to offer this platform to share their inspiring work.

Students create a smart green house from scratch

Palvir, George, Jack, Harrison, and Navid, a team of BSc (Hons) Computer Networks and SecurityÌý²¹²Ô»å BSc (Hons) Computer ScienceÌýstudents, form Error 404. They aim to tackle global challenges like hunger and sustainable food production by developing aÌýsmart greenhouse.

BSc Computer ScienceÌýstudents' Smart Translation Camera breaks barriers for the hard-of-hearing, offering accurate sign-language translations for inclusivity. Innovation Fest fosters entrepreneurship, enhancing students' employability with valuable portfolio material.

Team NDvidual

Computer Science students Ahmed, Michael and Maggie are NDvidual – a team who have created Question Box to help neurodivergent individuals navigate through their exams.Ìý

Smart Translation Camera

Team Sign Genie

Sign Genie has worked on creating a product to break down barriers faced by hard-of-hearing individuals. Their Smart Translation Camera aims to give accurate sign-language translations into speech to promote inclusivity for all.

Smart reading glasses

Team Op-Tech

FiveÌýComputer Science students, Hamza, Marley, Mohamed, Mohammed and Rabia, have teamed together to create Op-Tech - a handy pair of Smart Reading Glasses that help those with difficulties reading to translate what is in front of them.

Smart Medicine Dispenser

Team MedTech

MedTech comes from the minds of four Computer Science students who believe those who take daily medication should have access to an attentive way of reminding them to take their medicine.ÌýTheir idea is aÌýSmart Medicine Dispenser.Ìý

Smart Gesture Vocaliser Glove

Team SignTech

SignTech consists of six team members – Dafe, Omar, Mohammed, Zaim, and Rajan. They have created a smart glove to help improve communication with those that are hard of hearing or have hearing impediments. Ìý
