The reservations service allows you to request聽items on loan to others, or have a book delivered to another campus.

How do I use the reservations service?

The service allows you to聽reserve items聽on the library website and collect them when they are ready. You can reserve the majority of hard-copy items found during a website search as long as they are out on loan, or located at a different campus. You cannot reserve electronic resources or reference-only copies.

When will聽my reserved item(s) be available for collection?

The length of time you will need to wait for your item depends on how quickly the item is returned, or the delivery time from another location.聽As soon as your reserved items are available for collection you will be sent an email.

How do I聽collect my reservation(s)?

Once you have received the email to say your reserved items are ready, locate the reservation shelves in the library. These are usually shelves or trolleys near to the self-service machines (at Curzon Library, this is on the ground floor). Look for the first letter of your surname, followed by the first six digits of your student number.

Once you have located your items, use your ID card to issue the items on the self-service machines. Your PIN was sent to your email address when you enrolled, but if you've forgotten it, you can reset it.

We will hold reserved items for 7 days from the day we sent the email to you to advise they are ready.
