Johnny Paul Penry
CALS first became involved in the case of Johnny Paul Penry when his appeal against his death sentence was pending before the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in 1999.
Abelardo Arboleda Ortiz
As one of his outgoing acts of clemency President Obama commuted the death sentence imposed on Abelardo Arboleda Ortiz to life imprisonment without possibility of parole.
