hear // here || gathering the common place: towards an understanding of affect + embodied encounter through constructing non-narrative sound sculpture

This practice as research explores both, the potentials of utilising affective response and a heuristic approach to constructing works with gathered materials, and the possibilities opened up of an extended understanding through affective encounter with our everyday aural landscapes. It investigates event, bodily response, affective atmospheres and the way these are related to ‘how something might occur’ through a practice of brining elements and parts from gathered materials together to make ‘new’ moments.
