Across our research clusters, the Security and Extremism research group aims to deliver real-world impact on聽the following topics:
- Theoretical contributions to the debate on the nature of security studies.
- Examining, debating and informing whose security is important? 听听
- Examining issues related to cybercrime, surveillance and online hate speech.
- Security issues including threats to national, regional and human security, such as extremism, far-right threats, terrorism, hate crime, organised crime and inequalities of power.
- Engaging in community-based research that impacts regional events as well as international events.
