Health Insurance
- All students are strongly advised to take out travel insurance before travelling to the UK.
- Urgent treatment or treatment that cannot safely wait until you leave the country and return home will always be provided. See聽 for details.
- EU and Switzerland: Visitors to the UK from the EU and Switzerland with a medical emergency may be able to use a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) issued by their home country. The EHIC is not an alternative to . It will not cover any private medical healthcare, being flown back home, or lost or stolen property.
- Norway: Visitors to the UK from Norway will be able to access medically necessary care by presenting a valid Norwegian passport.
- Other countries: Visitors from Iceland, Liechtenstein and other international countries who have a medical emergency during a temporary stay in England may have to pay for NHS healthcare.
