RBC Jazz department jumps in to host a special Free Jazz Friday to showcase our most recently-formed Cheltenham Exchange Bands.
Each year we bring guests from Siena Jazz and Hamburg Conservatoire to form quintets with our senior jazz students. They rehearse for a couple of days, do a gig here with us on the Friday, then travel to Cheltenham Jazz Festival to headline on the Parabola Arts Centre stage on Saturday 3 May. So here鈥檚 a chance for a sneak preview and to hear their work in progress before the big day.
This year, after the festival, we are bringing the bands back to the studio, so watch out for our YouTube page release of those which promise to be highly creative and personal renditions of newly composed works and contemporary takes on 
jazz repertoire.
