The City of 探花直播 Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 renowned and charismatic music director, Kazuki Yamada, guest conducts the RBC Symphony Orchestra in a brilliant season finale to bring the house down.聽 Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 Eighth is a jewel of a symphony, packed with folk tunes, Slavic character and driving rhythms, and a favourite of musicians and audiences alike.
Before that, Daniele Rosina conducts music from Mussorgsky鈥檚 opera Boris Godunov transcribed by Leopold Stokowski, an arranger synonymous with rich orchestral colour. We鈥檒l also hear Vaughan Williams鈥檚 rapturous Serenade to Music, a setting of Shakespeare鈥檚 The Merchant of Venice that seems to float on the breeze; and Takemitsu鈥檚 two atmospheric fanfares for brass 鈥� Signals from Heaven 鈥� one each for day and night.聽 This is a concert that showcases the whole orchestra.
